Tune Up
Tune Up
The car in the sig has only 14k miles and has spent most of its life in a garage. it gets less gas mileage than the car like it i had before. i dont think it has ever had a tune up or had anything replaced on it. i am thinking of taking it in for one. should i just get a basic tune up or should i have the entire fuel system flushed? would a dose of fuel injector cleaner help? if so, which kind should i get? also, do i need to change the plug wires or can i get away with just the plugs. if there is anyone in the okc area, can you recommend a place for me to take it to get this and a radiator flush done? i have called chevy dealers and they quoted me a $250 pricetag for just replacement of plugs and filters and that is just rediculous.

if it's sat for any length of time with the fue lin it i'd consider having it flushed/cleaned plus the filter replaced and the injectors checked. old gas destroys soft parts in the fuel system faster than anything else.

wires are good for about 40K
i would change the plugs with stocker AC Delcos... do it yourself man it only takes about 45 minutes!
change the fuel filter, air filters... you might wanna pull the PCV valve outta the valve cover and shake it, if it rattles it's still good...
other than that you should be set, make sure your gap on the plugs is 0.032"
