Dumb Question

I have a 350 out of a 79 Z28. I know it was under powered but I would like to put in my Formula someday.
There is a problem though. There is a small crack/hole on a coolant journal where it meets the bottom of the vallley on top of the motor. Is this terminal? Can it be repaired and be dependable? Any insight is appreciated.

Transmission: TH350

Axle/Gears: 3.73 posi with spacer

It can be welded but it not even close to being worth it, just get a new core 350.
