Removing Smug Pump

Will this make all the other Emission sensors go crazy like the O2 sensor. I going to take it off and I was just curious.

Hold your horses...... pending on if you like that orange light saying "Check Engine" on at all times then go for it.
However if you have to go to the sniffer test soon..... if at all.... then just remove the belt part. With a Serpintine pulley system it ia harder then V-Belts.

We don't have the pleasure of emissions tests here in Wyoming. And I'm not to worried about the Check Engine Light!

I took off my smog pump over a year ago. I have no problems and my check engine light doesn't come on, and yes it does work because it has come on since for another problem.

The check engine light wont come on from removing the smog pump and related hardware, the ECM doesnt recieve any signals from any of that stuff, so it has no way of knowing if its there or not.
