Aftermarket Valves and Valve Seals
I just recieved my set of aftermarket stainless valves today. They have only one ring on them, which is for the lock. They don't have a second ring for the seal to go in like the stock valves do.
Do I just put the seal on in the same spot as stock? No Seal? Against the lock?

Most aftermarket valves (companies) are good enough to know that positive seals are the best. O-ring seals are questionable, at best. Fel-pro makes a posi-seal that deoesn't require machining of the valve guide.

I've listed the part numbers here:
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...ghlight=felpro
Any Parts America store should carry them.

Alright, thanks. That thread made me a little confused... Should I use the intakes on both exhaust and intake or, use the intake on intake and exhaust on exhaust?

Another quick question... i've never used this type of seal before, do I put it towards the top of the stem, next to the lock, or do I put it at the bottom near the guide?
And these should work fine on an non-machined older style head, correct?
Thanks for all your help!

Just coat it and the valve stem in a bit of oil and slide it on. It pushes all the way over the guide boss.
