Thump from rear on acceleration...
I've been noticing a loud thumping sound coming from the rear-end of my '89 IROC whenever I hit the gas hard in 1st gear. I used to think it was a transmission mount, but judging from where the sound is coming from (and the fact that it only happens on the lowest gear), I wondering what else in the rear suspension it might be.
Any ideas?

Have you checked your tranny mount , most of the time thats what it is. If not, check for loose lca bolt and etc.

I have the same problem, except for me it seems to happen during part throttle 1-2 shifts, and sometimes 2-3 shifts...
