Engine: 305 vin E TBI
Transmission: 700r4
Steering Wheel- HELP
I had removed my steering wheel to replace the ign. key. Now the shaft that the wheel sits on moves in and out.. Which way should it be? Tried both but still have lots of play in the steering wheel. the car does have a airbag and yes i reinstalled the cam lock or whatever that black thing is called. and when i move the wheel around the horn honks???? NEED HELP

You need to include more info. tilt or stationary column? etc...

Sounds like you didn't re-install the lock plate correctly... The lock plate is responsible for taking up the slack that exists in the upper half of the column shaft... I think you need to take it apart again and fix whatever went wrong (btw, that black part right before you put the steering wheel on is the airbag coil)..
