Difference between 5w30/10w30

Just had a new 350 put in 10,000 miles ago and it's time to go to synthetic oil. I went to the shop that did the swap for me and they gave me 6 quarts of 5w30 when the engine oil plug actually says 10w30 on it. What is the difference between the two and will I be hurting anything by using the 5w30 instead of 10w30?
