alignment specs
alignment specs
I need an alignment on my TA (thanks to a friend). What are the stock specs, and what would be a good recomendation for mostly handling tight corners.

Stock specs suck for the most part so I won't even bother.
The specs I like:
-.5 camber
+4.5 degrees caster left
+5.0 degrees caster right
toe + 1/16inch
If you drive alot nicer change the camber to -.25 degrees.
------------------
350 with stealth intake, holley carb, 470 lift cam. 700r4 with .5 boost valve, vette servo, tci lock-up kit, B&M megashifter. Richmond 3.73 gears, powertrax locker, timkin bearings, synthetic lube. Custom 3 inch single into 2 2.5 pipes. 1 1/2 drop springs, 1 5/16 solid front sway bar, 1 inch rear bar, custom subframe connectors, custom LCA relocation brackets. Kobel ground FX, current red metallic paint. Lots of other stuff...

I agree with the above assesment but you probably wont be able to hit that caster number. Whatever you do, do NOT run the factory spec of +1 degree camber unless you like wearing the outside edges of your tires. -.25 to -.5 is good. And depending on the wear on your front suspension stuff, 1/16 toe in might make the car wander a little.

Some cars can get the caster and some can't--forgot to add that part. The stock specs are terrible even for a mild 'grandma' driver.
