I having one installed this weekend on my gta-89, se sign.
How do I see error codes?
Does the SES light turn on when something is wrong?
Have I any use for my autoxray scan tool?
Is it possible to drive in "closed loop" mode?

Anyone with a simular combo who has DFI I probably going to need some help tuning( ignition curves and so on..)

To my knowledge, The DFI will not show any codes. You have to diagnose the problems.
My experience is limited as I am new to DFI as well.

No, the DFI will not show error codes, but then again, it really doesn't need to. If you suspect something is wrong just plug in the laptop and take a peek around at what the sensors are doing.
