Another non-3rd gen question

I have another question about this 427 I'm building.

I just got the crank yesterday, but I still don't have a block. I'm planning to pick one up at the Super Chevy show this weekend. Now, a 427 has a 3.760" stroke and a 4.25" bore. If I can't find a GenIV 427 block, will a GenIV 454 block work? Will I have to do anything to the crank to make it fit?

Oh, and one more thing

How can I tell a 2-piece real seal crank from a 1-piece?

A one piece rear seal crank will have a real wide area at the back of the crank that extends all the way back and has no flange sticking out from it, the 2 piece will have a flange that that flywheel/flexplate bolts to that is larger than the area the seal rides on.
