Which MAF was OEM on an 86 TA? Bosche or AC Delco?

Ok, here is my situation. My mechanic is telling me that my MAF sensor on my 86 TA is bad. He says that I have an aftermarket MAF (bosche), and that it is not capable of adjusting for the fact I have a performance camshaft. He goes onto explain that the AC Delco MAF has a wider range of "readings", and that buying one will fix my stalling problem.

On the other side, I have a friend who is telling me that Bosche WAS the OEM manufacturer for the MAF on my 86 TA, and that my mechanic is full of hot air.

My question is, who's right?

I can't say with any certainty... But I'm pretty sure that AC Delco was the stock equipment...

The MAF used on 86's (and many others) was a Bosch unit.

Getting another maf wont cure the problem if it is in fact the cam thats causing it, only a custom chip will.
