It's a little white filter looking thing that has a fuel line going to it from the sending unit. It looks almost like a filter, only it has little vents in it, and it doesn't go anywhere after. IT'sat the end of the line. I was mounted behinf the rear end on the drivers side. Sooooo, what is it, and how much does it cost?

BTW, this is on an 85 IROC TPI.

If its at the rear of the car next to the tank it sounds like the vent for the gasoline fumes. I just snapped the tabs that hold it onto the car off so I think I might have to replace it also. Unfortunatly I don't know what they cost.

 

Thats what it is, but I dont know the actual name of the part. I think they do call it a fuel tank vent valve though.

 

cool, at least now i know what it is, hopefully i doesn't cost too much. i guess i'll find out today.
