lightweight flywheel
lightweight flywheel
I have an '83 Z28 that I'm trying to get into the 15's and still get decent gas mileage out of. I'm about to buy a 14 lb. flywheel for it, so I can get a better take off. However, does anyone know if this will help out my gas mileage. I'm shooting for 15/25. Maybe I'm dreaming, but I think it can be done. Also I'm putting K&N airfilters on it and a Random tech hi-flow cat. Anyone have any other ideas for power without hurting mileage too bad. thanks,
Tim

the aluminum flywheel can help with gas milage, but if your going for a better take off, your going in the wrong direction. the aluminum flywheel is a better way to go, but your going to notice more differnce at higher rpm, not off the line.
