Help! Throttle Response

I own a 1988 305 with a TBI..how can i get better throttle respose out of it.?

Car: 1992 pontiac firebird

Engine: 305 tbi

Transmission: 700r4

make sure your ignition is in real good shape. new plugs, dist. cap, rotor, wires, etc. I bumped my base timing to 10 degrees btdc. That made response a good bit crisper. Also the K&N air filter helped alittle bit as did the new Dynomax exhaust. These are kinda the base mods to work on. Not a lot more power but a lot better response and sound. good luck.
