depends on your budget if u want to spend alot buy a carbed 305 and build a crazy motor for it like a big block or something.
If not get a 350 tpi and start with small mods like fuel system and exhaust until u can afford a blower.
All depends on your personal tastes some like fuel injection some like carbs, some perfer blowers some naturally asperated.
It's your choice.

i think you should shop around and see what different models are in your area. the best way to decide what you want is to drive a few cars with different powertrain combos.

manual 3rdgens do not have ver ystrong transmissions so if you are running massive power I would stay away from the 5 speed.

t-tops are not as strong as a hardtop obviously so if you plan on hooking up with slicks or something a hardtop is a better bet.

TPI is fun to play with but can be a BIT** to screw around with if you don't know anything about it..

carbs are simple but produce less torque, generally, than TPI..

the '90-'92 TPI camaros have speed density so if you are goign to do alot of mods you may want to go with MAF (85-89) as it will be more receptive to changes..

you will need subframe connectors..

you will need aftermarket suspension no matter what, if you tend on going fast

you will want a 350 but if you don't want TPI good luck on putting your own 350 in, only TPI 350s were installed in 3rdgens.

like i said, you've said nothing about how technical you are with cars..

if you don't know much maybe you should get a TBI-equipped Camaro or Firebird.

TPI can easily ruin your pocket book and burn up alot of your days off if you don't know what you're doing..

maybe an RS, Sport Coupe or something similar?
