tbi to carb swap

I have a freind of mine who has a 92 350 TBI car that he wants to change to a carb. (I would've posted this in the tbi section but I don't want a bunch of grief from them guys) Anyway, as I recall, he'll need to use a pressure regulator for the in tank pump, find an early q-jet/ intake and HEI. Is there anything else that pops up?
I don't want to get into a flame war over the tbi thing, the car has been jacked around and has had a crate motor (which, I'm unsure of (JEGS 350HO 330hp supposedly) It's his play toy I just need to straighten it out so he can enjoy the car,as inexpensive and painless as possible.

This is what it's supposed to be:

Anyway, I'm trying to avoid any electronic surprises..

You are correct, he will need a fuel presure regulator. Ive heard good things about HOlley's and even Aeromotive's. YOu will need to leave the TBI wiring harness in to control the VATS and fuel pump. However, going to carb is rather easy, grab a RPM AirGap and an Edelbrock or a DP HOlley to put on there. You will also need a non-CC distrbutor, from a late 70's HEI truck/car. Geto ne with vacuum advance, well worth it. All in all, 500-600 bucks should get you going, maybe more maybe less, according where you get your parts and such. Good luck.

If it really is the 350 HO engine, it has Vortec heads, which require use of a Vortec-specific intake manifold.
