Coolant temp sensor relocation?
I am installing a Performer manifold I picked up in like new shape. I want to get a chrome waterneck, but I still run a CCC setup (I dont want the sensor in the waterneck). I cant get the angled waterneck and still fit the coolant temp sensor in the right hand mani threaded opening. Anyone ever relocated the sensor or made a T fitting for it in a hose somehwere. Or can I get a 90 deg waterneck and bend my existing heater hose to fit it?
Also, Im wondering if anyone knows who makes or where to get a 90deg bent heater hose nipple for the manifold?

There's another spot in the pass. head between the 2 rear exhaust ports (#6 & #8). If it's just got a plug in there (not another sensor) then you can screw it in there, perhaps. Driver's and passenger's cylinder heads are identical on small block Chevys. Same head on both sides just turned around the other direction. Anything that's on one will be on the other, but on the opposite end of the engine.
Still trying to figure out why there aren't engouh places on the intake to screw that sensor in. Performer intakes have holes all over the place. Usually end up plugging several unused ones.

You do of course realize that those chrome water outlets are GUARANTEED to leak, don't you? And by GUARANTEED, I don't mean that they're crappy; rather, they do it BY DESIGN. They're made of a zinc allow, and are meant to be a sacrificial anode to prevent aluminum corrosion, especially if there's stainless steel in the motor. Any of you boat people will know exactly what I'm talking about. Anyway, those ALWAYS leak, EVERY TIME, with no other outcome possible. Depending on how much aluminum and stainless you have, it might last 3 months, or it might last a year, before it erodes through. So, make sure you keep a spare on hand, and check it often.
You can get brass 90° hose barbs at Home Depot; or make one up out of a street elbow and a straight barb if the other is too short. Not what I'd call a hard-to-obtain part.
