EGR Solenoid

What hoses go where on the EGR solenoid? I found one that looks like it goes to the EGR. I'm guessing it goes in the bottom. Where are the top to from/going to? They look like they sould be hard hoses.

I know of 2 hoses.

The black one connects on the top and goes to the throttle body (undernieth it on drivers side).
The grey one connects on the bottom and goes to the EGR.

Thanks,
Is the hose to the throttle body connected near the front of the engine? I have a vacuum hose without a home that connects to the throttle body adjacent to cyl #1.

I just went through this, on the 350 TPI the black fitting goes to the valve, the metal one goes to the manifold vacuum source. The EGR valve side when the solenoid has power has a small vent to allow vacuum to bleed off of the valve. The solenoid is pulse width modulated, but to be simple when power is applied to the solenoid it shuts off the vacuum to the valve.

Yes, Under the Throttle body, near the drivers side. Look under it and you can see a small nipple about 1/2 inch long.

This should be the only one close to the drivers side. Everything
else will be on the passenger side.

Thanks 92 Sleeper and Danno.
I have a part of a hose coming from that area that must be the one.
When I got this car it had been sitting for two years and not running. I was a little intimidated cause I hadn't fooled around with a car much for over 20 years. This board has been a real help.
