QUICK QUESTION

I went to jump start another car, after I disconnected the jump start cables the other end was still connected to my car , the cables touched by accident. now the car does not even crank when I turn the key. there is power going into the car but I cant turn the car on , what do I check for??

nevermind, I found that theproblem was that the car was not in park.

Doh! It must be the phase of the moon or something, I did the exact same thing coming out of the carwash today. Freaked me out though, because almost a year ago to the day, my car died in the exact same spot and I swore I'd never take the sob back there again and y'know what? You guessed it, today was the first time I went back since then. Go figure.
