ok here is the deal, just this morning I get up and call a few places to see if they have rebuildable 350 cores, none have them except for one guy who had a 89 or 90 4 bolt van motor for 150. Ok great I go and look at it and it looks like the normal rebuildable 350 and all and load it up in the pickup. After this he says, quote, " It's too bad you are not replacing your 305 with a 305". I told him that i am better off rebuilding a 350, then he tells me that he has a brand new on in the back with a auto trans from a 90 blazer that was given to a school. It is a TBI 350 complete with all a dash. 1200 for it all and 900 for the motor, the thing is absolutle clean inside and out so I figure it that for 900 I can have a brnad new 305 with a new compressor and alt and the serpintine belt system for 900 or do tons of work and spend more on the 350. So I go to lunch and think about it and for my need the 305 is perfect for me. So I put down a deposite and picking it up tomorrow. Does anyone know if the heads on this engine will work with the L98 cam I have in my 305 now?
