Relocated/protected fuel line with header install?
Finishing up my 350 swap and when I bolted
the Edelbrock headers in place the fuel line
(passenger side) comes very close to the
headers. Runs about 3-4 inches away for the
whole length of the engine and down to about
3/4 of an inch down by the collector. Anyone
have any problems with this or tried to
protect the fuel line. Headers are jet-hot
coated but I don't know how much that will help.

BTDT...
I cut my fuel line, flared it, and made a new section to make that portion of the run pass as far from the headers as possible. If you run it right you can get it about 2" from the headers, which is about as far as anything down there will ever be from them. It's easier if you pop the evaporator housing off, it doesn't have to come all the way out of the car, which only takes a couple of minutes... I went to the junkyard to get one, got there at 4:55, found a car, and had the housing which is now in my car sitting on their counter by their 5:00 closing time.
