Misfire? Hesitation?
Sometimes the car runs like a champ. And then others, mostly I have found when its been warmed, shutdown and then started up again, the engine surges. It's been acting funny like this for a couple days. Always runs cool in the morning, then afternoon, or after cooling for just a short while it acts like this? I was thinking about checking the TPS voltage and adjusting accordingly, anything else I should look for? Just installed some shorty headers, new exhaust, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and slp runners.

It will be much easier to pinpoint the problem(s) if you can determine whether it is ignition or fuel delivery that is lacking when the hesitation occurs. HEI modules can be temperature sensitive, as can ignition coils, pickup coils and reluctors, EST modules. ECMs, injectors, electrical connections engine sensors, and EGR valves/solenoids.

It's really weird, it happens with inconsistency, on the freeway, or on the street. I am going to try and get an aldl cable and just let it run so I can log some data and hopefully I will be able to capture what it going on.

Yeah I dunno. It's weird. It has become alot less common, but every once in a while it still does it. Not for long, but I am thinking the TPS as well. The idle is funky sometimes. Seems like these tps need to be adjusted every so often. I did it once before. Anyway, we'll see how that goes.
