Need some advice
I've got a car that needs an engine here, and plenty of parts lying around. Not really sure what direction I want to head in, though.
It's a 91 Camaro RS, originally had a 305 TBI engine.
I've got an 88 Camaro (wrecked) with a 305 TBI engine that runs, but high mileage.
I've also got the 350 TPI out of my 89 Formula that needs a rebuild.
Finally, I've got the 305 longblock out of my 97 Silverado pickup that spun the main bearings. I'm thinking the Vortec heads and possibly the cam might be of some value.
So, just playing around here, I'm thinking of the following possible combinations:
1. Sell the entire TPI, and put the 305 TBI in the Camaro with the Vortec heads on it
2. Ditch the 305 TBI, put the 305 Vortec heads on the 350 TPI (will that work with Vortec manifold?)
3. Pull the whole TBI system off the 305, and put that along with the Vortec heads onto the 350.
I've spent the last 2 hours searching on here, but I can't seem to find the information that I want about using the truck heads on either engine. I'll probably end up selling this car once it is done, no matter what I do....... what would be the best bang for the buck?

I assume the '91 doesn't have any engine now, and you want to put one in in order to sell it - correct?
Asuuming that's correct, put the "good" 305 in it and advertise.
Or, don't do anything and advertise...
There are conflicting reports on the 305 Vortec heads. Some say they're junk, others say they only need minor work to be great. Either way, it isn't worth it to mess with them for a car you're just going to sell.

Yes, the car has no engine in it.
Thanks for the response - sounds like a plan.
