rocker arm performance ???

I adjusted the roller rocker arms on my built 350 TPI last night and there were about three or four that were very very loose. I adjusted them w/ no problem, my question is how would these loose rocker arms have effected performance and idle??? B/C my car seems to idle much smoother and just run better. Is this due to the rocker arm adjustment??? Thanks

Loose rockers = valves that don't open as faras the rest, and don't stay open as long.
