All numbers matching... which parts?

If someone has a thirdgen with all matching numbers, which parts are they talking about? Is there a complete list of parts that have numbers (is it the VIN?) stamped on them?

Car: '88 Camaro RS,

Engine: 305 TBI

Transmission: 700R4

Axle/Gears: Stock

It means the #'s on the chassis, engine, tranny, and rear end all match. Hopefully for you none of the tags are missing. Good luck.
