I was thinking of MSD cap ,rotor, and wires..how about an open element? Now I know I read somewhere where it said that an open element is good as long as it gets cold fresh air..I was thinking that I would leave the single snorkel but take the air cleaner off..so it would be the snorkel and the open element.?? or go with wires etc

ignition would be a good start. personally i'd recomend the hypertech coil with just a local parts store brass terminal cap and rotor kit along with a good set of wires. wires you may want to go with accel or msd, but on your engine decent parts store wires would be fine. other thing you might want to consider if you have an auto is a shift kit.
