Need HELP
Guys I need some help, last year I had my engine swap done I took out the 305 and replaced it with a 350, the cam that was installed is a xe 274h-10 now this cam is suppose to put out 410 ft lbs @ 3900 rpm, suppose to give me 11 hg of vacuum @ 800 & 14 hg @ 1400 idle.. my max power is suppose to be around 369 hp @ 5900 rpm, I'm not even close to these numbers I also added a weiand blower which should even give me more power I have about 2-4 lbs of vacuum at idle, and no where near the power I should have what the heck is the problem ???
I'm currently running a 600 dp with my blower but it back fires alot the recommended carb for this blower is a 750 so I ordered a 750 dp will this take care of the popping noise ??
Any info would be greatly appreciated... Thanks

A lot of details left out of this story. What heads, intake manifold and exhaust are you running? How was the HP that you aren't making measured?
Is the carb you are running and the one you ordered set up for supercharging?

No the carb recommended for the sc is a 750 dp, I purchased one and is being shipped to me, I currently have a 600 dp on the car now... by switching carbs could that take care of my HP problem or the backfire popping noise ?? thanks for your help.

If the carb isn't of the type intended for a supercharger, the powervalve will be closed all the time. That will cause backfiring.
Not being able to spin the tires isn't too surprising with a 274 cam. That's a high RPM power cam, not a low RPM tire-spinning torque cam.
What Weiand intake did you have on it b/4 the SC? Do you have headers on the car?

No more needs to be said. Until you change out those heads, forget about making any kind of power, regardless of what else you do.
