Installing Heads On '91 350
I have a 305 in my car now. I recently picked up a 350 out of a '91 Suburban that was a TBI. I got a new intake manifold and that is all set. I took the heads off to get looked at and cleaned but I then realized that i have no idea how to put them back on. I do know there is a certain way to do it and I really don't wanna screw them up. Please, can someone tell me how to do it or at least point me in the right direction. Any help is much appreciated. I look forward to getting a lot of help from this forum.
Thanks again,
Rich

Well i'll be the first to say, welcome to the boards
Remember: The search button is your best friend, there are something like eleventy billion posts here, so just about everything imaginable has been discussed before, so you can get a lot of info there...
Just to get a bit more info here: Is the 350 on an engine stand right now or in the car?
Did you disassemble the heads or are they still "all together"?
You'll need a new head gasket for sure...
Actually I don't have any good information for you, just thought i'd pry more info out of you to save time when the "seasoned" members start giving help. -J

those are good questions. Then engine is out of the car and on a stand, They are still assembled and I have a new head gasket kit and hopefully all tools necessary. The only thing i am worried about is over/under tightening the rockers and all that stuff. Thanks for the warm welcome.
