what size tires

on my stock 92 with the 16 inch rims i have 245/50/16 mounted on them right now im about to buy new tires and im going to keep the 245/50/16 on the front and i want to know how wide i can go with the back tires on the stock rims

I have seen, with my eyes 255's on the back. I have heard people say they have put larger without a problem, but never seen it or done it. Why do you need larger? Having problems getting traction on launch with the 245's? I dont know what kind of tires you have now, but better tires stick A LOT more. I have bridgestone re910's (p245 50 16) and they NEVER spin off the line with 3.23 gears and a 305tpi. Just a thought

I have 255/60 R15 (BFG) rear on 86 T/A without any problems
