rear end ratio
rear end ratio
I don't know what my rear end ratio is and was wondering if there is any equation for getting an estimate on what it is. Like if your going 60mph at so many rpm then the ratio would be around ... Is there any equation to get an estimate of what my rear is?
Thanks for whoever can help

i was told to do it this way put your car in D not overdrive if its an auto and get the car goin a steady 70mph and whatever your rpms read is your gear ratio or if you have a 5spd put the car in 4th and go 70mph.and there you have it

What kind of engine do you have and what trans do you have? There is usually only one or two ratios it can be, unless it was changed. Look at the Tech Database on this site.
