about 3 months ago, i bought an 89 Firebird Formula with 60k original for $800. aside from needing some brakes, and a little beautification (it was a beachside car), the only "problem" has been my idle. when i finally got around to setting it a couple weeks ago, i noticed this "hole" in the manifold. i've enclosed a pic to make it a little easier. anyone know what's supposed to go there? thanks in advance.

looks like a mounting hole to me, but i may be wrong

 

i've just never seen a car come from the factory with a free mounting hole on the manifold... i could be wrong, but it seemed strange to me. i'm just unsure of what's supposed to go there...

Ill have too look but i think mine has the same hole.

 

on some tpi cars it is used for an extra brace for the alternator. no need to worry.
