Fuel pump question

I have the engine out of my 87 Iroc with a tpi pump in the tank right now and would like to pump the little bit of gas that is stil in the tank and lines out. Does anyone know how I can get the fuel pump to turn on without having the engine in the car? Can I just ground the ground wire from the relay?

well I say it never hurts to try. you can always unground it and return it to stock if it doesn't work.

I'm at work right now, so I don't have my manual, but theres two terminals in the ALDL plug you could jumper to kick the fp on.
