Aircleaner sensor?

I have a 88' 305 TBI with an electronic sonsor(2 wires) that plugs into the aircleaner. What is this?

Engine: 355 HSR

Transmission: A4

Axle/Gears: 3.73 S60

It is the IAT (intake air temp) sensor

Basically it is a resistor that changes it resistance according to the intake air temp
