slp runners/edelbrock base
has anyone has any problems with slp runners and the edelbrock intake base? I didnt see any clearence issues but i do have a vacume leak on the drivers side. they dont provide a torque sequence in the directions so im wondering where i went wrong. i am thinking i should use gaskasinch or a maybe rtv gasket maker. any insite would be appreciated

the 3865 intake manifold comes with one runner to base gasket. This is the one that is leaking on me and i think it has something to do with the way they machined the intake manifolds. I didnt use the one that edelbrock sent me, i used the set that came with the slp's. do you guys think thats why i have a vacume leak? why else would they send only one gasket?

I never had a problem. I had the SLPs on the Big Mouth before I got the AS&M runners and never had a leak. (same manifold BTW)

hey thanks for your reply. there wasnt a problem with the setup, i was getting a vacume leak from the cold start injector. somehow i bent the csi housing so i was getting a major leak there. everything works great now!
