what is going on here/.///hmmmmm

I have a 92 with the 5.7. usually runs great but sometimes the idle will go way up and stay up. When I come to a stop the idle stays up and if i let off the brake the car will take off on its own and fast! It will probably cruise at 20 by itself. Any clue?
