where is my voltage regulator
where is it and how much to replace,any specific brands i should get.

It's inside the alternator. It's about $20 or so; I think you can get a whole kit from Summit for about that much.
In regards to your other post, I doubt that anything of the kind is going on. I also doubt that your reguator is bad. What probably is happening, is that the brushes in the alternator are worn, and are no longer able to maintain their contact with teh slip rings. When that happens the alt stops charging.
You could either rebuild the alt yourself, or just get another, considering the kind of trouble people always seem to have with rebuilt onew, you are probably better off to do it yourself, perhaps with the Summit kit or with parts you can get from your local parts store.

thanks for the info but i just replaced the alternator and im haven the same problem.could it be my battery
