Headlight relocation. Legality?

I have an 87 WS6 TA and have been having problems with my headlight motors. I was thinking of relocating headlights to the foglight holes in the front nose. The wiring and mounting should be no problem. My only question is: "is it legal to have your headlights there?" I wasn't sure on the laws or such, if anyone knows anything please let me know. Thanks.

As long as being lower in the front doesn't cause any problems, you will have to adjust them so that they point upward. I couldn't see a problem with that if they are secure and work properly.

Different local laws do apply, so check with someone in your area. In Ca, we do have a minimum height requirement.

Thanks for the input guys, I think I'll just ride down to the DMV and check it out first.
