metalic ping noise that isn't detonation?

Transmission: 6spd auto
Axle/Gears: Rotating
metalic ping noise that isn't detonation?
when hte car is cold there is a metal like ping noise that the best I can describe is just that a higher pitched metalic cling or ping noise
mainly happens when cold and the car is given some revs
everything is all stock with around 180k miles
my only ideas are the valves either not seating right or possibly making a contact point with the pistons though either one I am hopping it isn't
would you guys have any other ideas here or do you think I hit the valve on the piston (stupid pun for the nail on the head joke
