hesitation only above 3,000 RPM

88 GTA 5.0, stock. Everything has less than 1,000 miles on it. I started getting a hesitation only above 3,000 RPM. Car starts fine idles fine, even runs fine up to 3K. After that she starts bucking like crazy. I just changed the fuel filter, cap, rotor, and one plug wire that looked like it was cracked against the exhaust manifold. No luck. My car sits for long stretches (but is started and brought to temp every week), and had run great on the few winter runs it made. Any help would be greatly appreciated, before I have to bring it to the mechanic and let him sort it out.

BTW, no codes set when this hesitation happens.

Did you replace you're ignition module?

I did not replace the ignition control module. If my ignition module were bad, wouldn't I have no spark at all?

Why not change it and find out?

Seriously though, the same thing happened to me with my old LB9. It honestly sounds like it's either a very weak coil, or an ignition module that has seen better days....

Well, first I'm doing plugs and wires. I'm leery of throwing parts at it after that. If plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and fuel filter don't get it, I'm bringing it to my friend's shop and have him hook it up to the scanner and TC of this B. There's a Pontiac show here (on LI) Sunday that I want to enter the car in.
