doing heater core any helpful ways to do it on an 86Z?

I heard people with 86 camaro say it is easy. Can you please tell me the way you did it?

that's funny, I've heard you have to take the whole dash off. but that's just what a guy I know who did it had to do. I'm sure there's an easier way.

you dont have to take the dash apart, i did mine, just remover the heater core box under the dash and get a nice swivel socket set and it'll come out, it takes a little while but it'll come out.

hey 86Z what did you have to take off to get to the heater core??? how long did it take you? also did you take off the paneling under the dashboard? just give me to clues to how you did it.

86Z is right, you need the swivel sockets. Take off the hush panels and you'll see the heater core box, you have to remove it then you'll see the core inside, the only pain is that top bolt, so leave it out when you reinstall, it still holds together fine.
