torque specifications
I'm putting my engine back together tonight from the heads up, I have the diagram for the head bolts/torque
But I dont know how much to torque down the rocker arms or intake (also dont know the proper intake bolting pattern)
Its a carb'd 350, with a performer rpm intake
any ideas?

when I go out to my car today I have a haynes manual and in it is the bolt pattern and torque. If no one else helps you out I can later tonight. Also there is no torque for the rocker arms, you have to set the valve lash. If you need to know how to do it, just do a search for "valve lash".

alright well im going to be using rtv on the intake anyways, so ill just tighten the intake down "good enough" and then whenever you can provide me with the proper tightening sequence/torque that would be awesome
I cant even really start the car due to the fact I dont have any oil or coolant ready to be put into the engine :\

Heads and intake start from the inside out...heads you can get lost, but "sprial" out on the intake is easy enough.
Intake I do two short steps of 25ft/lb, then 40...worked for me many a year.
Heads are a different story, and can fall in the range of 50-80ft/lbs final tq depending on heads and fasteners used...but always use a "3-step" process...i/e first so 30-then 50- then final torque.

yeah i got the head bolting pattern/torque off the autozone website, so all I needed was the intake
Thanks
much appreicated.
I would have this thing started tonight but I dont have a new oil filter/any oil/ or any coolant so I guess its just going to have to wait.
