Sorry, mods, I read the diy board and they seemed to be for actual tuning not questions of whether to tune. If it needs moved please do so.
I am swapping my 305 tpi to a 350 tpi; I am getting used but low mileage 24# injectors. I will be using a small, but larger cam then stock. Here are the stats, duration@.050 214/224, and advertised is 272/282, .442/.465 lift with a 112 lsa. The cam by itself shouldn't hinder the ability of the car's tuning much (well I think). I am using slightly ported 601 castings (305 carb) heads. With about 10:1 compression.
Is it mandatory I get the 350 chip if I upgrade the injectors? Has anyone successfully done without? It will only be temporary. Just chips are hard to find and my guy can’t do them at this time. What's the difference in tuning of the 305 and 350 chips (maybe air flow tables?)
How much are stocker 350 memcals?
