how much to pay for a used HEI

i need a HEI for my 82 someone has swaped it for an old points type,,,,how much is a good used item worth,,, is $50 too much,,need a quick response

For a vac advance HEI? Ya...to much...search ebay if you don't need it ASAP, or pick and pull type wrecking yards...last one I bought was 10 bucks at PnP...needed to make an oil pump primer.

If it's working it's a decent deal. Not great but decent. I bought my *spare* when mine went out 70 miles from home. $50 (complete) installed. I bought a brand new one last month and it cost me $115.
