help purchasing new mini-starter!

well my starter just took a sh¡t finally and i need to buy a new one, and in doing so i figure i might as well get a more powerful, smaller one. my stock starter had hardly enough power to crank the motor over and it is jammed in my headers so bad its impossible to get out, not to mention it gets extremely warm and cranks over even weaker. well i have a 383 stroker kit and with the 400 flexplate on the motor i had to change starters after the rebuild because the bigger flywheel takes a staggered bolt pattern rather than the in-line patter that i originally had. in my summit magazine i found a few mini-starters i'd like to get but all of them are for the inline pattern... what do i do? it says it fits 153 and 168 tooth flywheels and i don't know what mine is. i need help guys, please! thanks in advance!

I use the larger 168 tooth flexplate on my engine and use a straight across bolt style starter. Buy a Powermaster XL mini starter.

Most of the mini starters use the straight across bolt style. They have 2 sets of bolt holes. Using one set moves the starter away for the 168 tooth and the other set of holes moves it inward for the 153 tooth.
