Well, I think by 95 they were rated at 285 hp. The tranny was a 4-60le, same as the 700-r4 just electronicly controled. If it is a manual, it was a T-56. Do a search on t-56 on this message board and you will find pleanty of links to the details on it. I know thats not a lot of info, but I hope it helps.

95 was only 275 hp. california emissions 95 models had dual cats along with all the 96 and newer, but only the 96 and newer had the 285 hp ratintg.
