Need to replace charcoal canister, but how?
The stupid deleware emissions tests include a visual inspection for a charcoal canister, and my new '85 z28 doesn't have one in it. Looks like the previous owner just took it out and plugged the line going to the fuel tank, and I don't know where else the vacuum lines were running to on the carb. Does anyone have pictures of a charcoal canister setup on a carburated car, or know where everything hooks up too? And I hope once this is replaced it will help it pass the sniffer test because it failed that too with way too much carbon monoxide. Will having the canister help pass that test?

I'm about 100% positive that the charcoal canister only reduces hydrocarbons from fuel vapors in the gas tank. Too much CO may be attributed to an aging cat or bad AFR mix, but I'm not too certain on this one...

well, the cat might be the problem since apparently it was already gutted, but I was hoping to find some other way of correcting the CO levels without relpacing that. But they still check for the canister and I really need to know where the vacuum lines run to on the engine.

Here you go:
Use that unless you have a Canadian car... if so, use this:

EDIT: By the way, if you know where to find a brand new charcoal canister other than the dealer, let me know. I need a new one as well.

Hmmm...I forgot about Napa. All the other parts stores don't carry it, but Napa can get pretty much any hard-to-find part.
