ok, my friend has an 88 camaro 305 tbi/auto and it recently had the waterpump go out, so he put on a new one and now the car overheats badly. i took it for a drive and it acted fine till i let it sit for a while, and when you turn the engine off coolant boils out of the lower rad hose and the overflow tank. the electric fan seems to come on but doesn't seem to be running as fast as the one in my chicken. i was just fondering what would be the best line of troubleshooting, thanks...

Could be that the fan motor is screwed up i'd replace that, same thing happened to my car 2 weeks ago. Replaced the fan motor and car ran fine. Good luck

 

Monitor your coolant level for about a week after you refill any cooling system, unless you fill the system with deaerated water.
