Well I need Help

I didn't know where to put this but I decided to put it here because this is the forum with the most people viewing it. Last night I was speeding home around 3 am. Well I got caught... 98 in a 65, and my vehicles registration was expired. I was respectful to the cop and he was too me but he wasn't going to help me out in any way. I mentioned my spedometer only goes up to 85 and that I didn't know I was going nearly that fast. He told me to bring it up with the procescutor and see if he will drop any points for that. What else is there I can do to help me get out of this? I'm going to try to call my friends father, he is a trial lawyer. Thanks in advance.

i have a 93 suburban, and its not that slow at all. Are you under 18? if so, u could plead youthful offender. thats what i did when i was 17 in my 90 RS. 130mph in a 40! $415 in tickets. i got two tickets for street racing and reckless driving, and it was wiped from my record. if not, i dont know what to tell you. since that night i drive a little more responsible. if you make the argument about your speedo, then theyre gonna say "why were you going that fast in the fist place, at 85 you obviusly knew that you were speeding.

I'm hoping "I had to go to the bathroom real bad and no place is open at 3 am to let me in" would help me out besides i was roughly 5-10 minutes from my house, the next exit was my exit. And I'm 18 by the way.

it was pretty good. i was suprised as hell when thats what the cop said he clocked me at. the speedo only went to like 110 and it just stayed there so i assumed thats what i was doing, but i guess i was wrong.

Axle/Gears: I'm working on it,lol.
I had an experience similar to that in Ohio when I was going to pick up some parts. I got hit for doin 120 in a 25 mph zone. I told the cop that I didn't realize how fast I was goin and he was nice enough to drop it to 100 even. What a big help that was, lol. He probably wouldn't have even done that much if I'd told him I didn't realize I'd went through a town due to the fact that it was soooooo small. Good luck.
