Why does my car run better/faster on some days?

Why does my car run better/faster on some days?
I've noticed this about my car. Some days The car seems to be more responsive and quicker on some days, and on other days, more sluggish.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. I can't seem to trace it to the weather, either. I thought maybe it liked moist cool air, or something, but it seems to be a random thing.
