Does anyone know?

The symptoms of a severly clogged cat. converter?? I got a an 87 T/A,LG4 With dumped emmisions, open element.
Yesterday i passed a Mustang and played a bit with him. Anyway, all of a sudden i notice my car has a flat spot on acceleration. I also notice the Carb sounding like it's sucking too much air,The exhaust is making a grumbling sound on acceleration, and it's shifting like I have a shift kit(i don't) WTF did I break?
To top it all off, I had to go to the car show with my car running like this. Has anyone had this happen to them before??

Thanks for the help guys!!

I read here on the board that a severly clogged cat would smell like rotten eggs. Another symptom would be your engine temp would go up rather fast and the car would run like crap. I've never had this happened on both my 86 adn 92. If you do suspect it's the cat, take it to a muffler shop that will do a free inspection of exhaust system to include the cat.

As mentioned, it'll glow, it might rattle or growl, rotten egg smell, the engine will run hotter, and in extreme cases it might get so plugged that the car won't run at all. But of all the bad cats I've seen, (ok, just two) I've never seen 'em glow or smell.
